Arc vs Ark

Arc as a noun is a part of the circumference of a circle or other curve. Synonyms: curve, arch, crescent, semicircle, half-moon.
Arc as a verb is to move with a curving trajectory.
Ark is (in the Bible) the ship built by Noah to save his family and two of every kind of animal from the Flood; Noah’s ark; a large, flat-bottomed boat.
Arc and ark are types of homonyms that are pronounced the same but have different meanings and spellings. Do not confuse these two words!
